REMEMBER TO LIVE!
A film by Anders Larsson and Mia Kaasalainen
In the documentary film Remember to Live, we follow 25 individuals aged 65-85 years in the creation of the dance piece Memento Vivere, choreographed and directed by Charlotta Öfverholm. Memento Vivere is a tragicomical dance theatre piece where participants share life-changing moments through dance, monologues and song. The performance is a call to remember to live, no matter what age you are. In the documentary, 8 of the participants share their thoughts about the process from the idea to the premiere.
The film is part of the AGE ON STAGE project, initiated by the artistic leader, choreographer, and dancer Charlotta Öfverholm, to demonstrate the value of age in the dance world specifically and in society at large.
Documentary filmmakers Anders Larsson and Mia Kaasalainen followed the project for 1 year, filming rehearsals, making interviews, and documented the dance work.
